Product Description
Looking for a super-effective microcontroller platform for prototyping and making? The BeagleBone Black Rev C combines the power and usefulness of a Linux computer (like aRaspberry Pi) with the connectivity and robustness of an Arduino. This embedded board has built-in networking, many inputs and outputs, a fast processor (AM3358 1GHz ARM® Cortex-A8), and two 32-bit PRUs to handle demanding tasks.
For those familiar with the original BeagleBone Black, you’ll be pleased to hear that the developers have listened to your requests! This revision of the board increases the eMMC from 2GB to 4GB — doubling the onboard memory. If you were worried about the eMMC wearing out, the added space will keep the data moving around to prevent memory loss. The newest revision features a Debian based operating system (like the Raspberry Pi) to better the user experience. You’re still able to use all of the capes from the previous revisions, making it easy to upgrade your existing projects.
With loads of useful features integrated into the board, the newest revision of the BeagleBone Black is the perfect choice for physical computing and smaller embedded applications.
